Extending Wireless Range
After getting a new computer built the other week, it became appare
nt that the current wireless connection strength was just not reliable enough for web surfing. So, being the lazy cheapskate that I am, I searched for the easiest and cheapest solution possible. I found out about parabolic reflectors, and it sounded like the right fit. Using a Manila folder, a template printed from the website and foil, I made the reflector (and did not believe at all that it would work - I was using scissors and paste, I haven’t done that since I was small!). However, once it was completed I pointed my antenna in the right direction and the signal went from low/nothing to good/very good. Who woulda thunk?
